Matthew & Hanika

Wedding days are always full day events when you're involved. I headed out at 9:30am to meet with Matt and the rest of the groomsmen to have pictures taken at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Guess what we had for brunch? Jollibee! I think that was my 4th time already. After the photo shoot, we all went to Grace Village for the wedding. We miraculously made it there in record time with no traffic. We were so early that the church wasn't even ready for us to enter! That was great because we had about 45 minutes to relax.

The wedding itself was a bit less than an hour, so it wasn't boring at all. The ceremony was to-the-point, which was surprising because it was the same pastor that married Christine and Nino. The group pictures were done pretty efficiently as well.

It was about 3:30pm when we got out of the church, leaving plenty of time to get back to San Juan for rest, a snack and then the reception, right? That didn't go as planned as we ran into heavy traffic. We didn't make it to the hotel until about 5:30pm. So we just had a quick snack... Papa John's pizza of all things! That broke my non-American streak! We headed out to the reception at Gloria Maris, just across the street around 7pm. The pizza snack was practical because the banquet didn't start until after 8:30pm. I was tempted to take some of the kids to Jollibee, just as the announcement came on that it was beginning!
